Owlcrate’s March 2016 Unboxing!

Yay! More March goodies!

I discovered Owlcrate, a monthly young adult book subscription box, last year. I’m sure you’ve heard all about different types of subscription boxes because there are just so many. Anything from hair and make-up products, gaming, food, and dog or cat boxes… But of course, I have a book subscription box! 🙂

The box itself is $29.99 plus shipping and handling (depending on where you live). I subscribe just about every other month. Each box for Owlcrate is themed, and some themes I don’t care for so that’s why I don’t subscribe to that particular month.

I decided to wait at least a week to post anything but if you haven’t received your Owlcrate this month, don’t read on because there are spoilers for the box! And of course, if you don’t care about spoilers, keep reading! 😀

March’s theme is “Writer’s Block” and I just felt a strong affinity for it, being a writer and all.

As I said, the theme for Owlcrate’s March box is “Writer’s Block.” Here’s the book that was included:

Truthfully, I haven’t even heard of this book. It’s a contemporary young adult and as you might now, I don’t really care for contemporary novels. ^_^’ I’m not sure if I’ll read it but we’ll see… What’s fun about Owlcrate, too, is that the author of the featured book always writes a cute note. 🙂

How about this cute book and this adorable quill pen? Sticking with the theme with this “Tiny Things to Write About” from Chronicle Books which has prompts to keep the creative juices flowing! And then the quill pen–very Harry Potter-esque–from Kikkerland, I love it!

Some cute pins from Bookworm Boutique and these “Banned Books” socks from Out of Print. I actually don’t like wearing socks but these are just so cute!

This is just an example of goodies inside Owlcrate, and it varies by month, but it always fits the boxes themes and sometimes even centers around the book’s genre as well. I’ve gotten jewelry, tea, and even chapstick from the various past boxes! If you’re an YA book lover or know someone who is, use my referral link to sign up! April’s theme is dystopian.

I’ve seen other book subscription boxes but I haven’t been able to deter myself away from Owlcrate yet… XD

Do you have a subscription to any box? Do you think it’s worth the price?

Those socks are so cool! I don’t think I’d be able to wear them because I wouldn’t want to ruin them, haha. That quill pen is so cute too! I don’t have any subscription boxes, but I’ve been thinking of getting one. My options are a bit limited because I’m in Australia and I can’t afford the shipping from overseas ones, but there’s a few based here like the YA Chronicles that I think I might try out 🙂

lol I don’t like wearing socks but these are really cute! OwlCrate is the only subscription box I’ve received but I’ve seen so many other YA ones, I might pick another one in the future! I’ve never ordered a YA Chronicles one. I’ll check them out! 🙂
