April’s Most Anticipated Releases!

April’s heeeeeeerrrrreeee! That brings my husband’s birthday and my wedding anniversary! (Along with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary, but… I think I’m the only one keeping track of that! XD)

But it also means book releases! And I’m mainly excited about two!

The epic (because it will be EPIC) conclusion to Maggie Stiefvater’s YA paranormal series, The Raven King. Guys, this book makes me love the paranormal genre. I normally dislike it and I think it’s just because I’ve read some…interesting paranormal books, granted they weren’t YA but… This series made me truly fall in love with the genre! I’m beyond excited (and sad at the same time) for this series to come to an end.

Will Gansey finally find Glendower? Will there be some Pynch action? Will Blue finally fall in love and will we get the kiss we’ve been aching for? Good God, I hope so.

Not only is this cover gorgeous but this synopsis:

“Maya is cursed. With a horoscope that promises a marriage of Death and Destruction, she has earned only the scorn and fear of her father’s kingdom. Content to follow more scholarly pursuits, her whole world is torn apart when her father, the Raja, arranges a wedding of political convenience to quell outside rebellions. Soon Maya becomes the queen of Akaran and wife of Amar. Neither roles are what she expected: As Akaran’s queen, she finds her voice and power. As Amar’s wife, she finds something else entirely: Compassion. Protection. Desire…

But Akaran has its own secrets — thousands of locked doors, gardens of glass, and a tree that bears memories instead of fruit. Soon, Maya suspects her life is in danger. Yet who, besides her husband, can she trust? With the fate of the human and Otherworldly realms hanging in the balance, Maya must unravel an ancient mystery that spans reincarnated lives to save those she loves the most. . .including herself.”

I mean, hello? Also “stepped in Indian folklore and mythology” sounds promising. I say this knowing how much I dislike The Wrath and the Dawn but hey, maybe I’ve just read the wrong book? lulz

Both of these release on April 26th–the day before my 3rd wedding anniversary! I’ll just call that an early present? Thanks, universe! 😀
