This week’s TTT is a bit of a freebie. It’s TV-themed and I’m sticking with my top TV shows. Truthfully, I don’t watch a lot of TV. I’m not up to date with all the TV shows out there so I watch what I’m interested in and to heck what anyone else thinks. XD
Don’t forget to leave your TTT and I’ll be sure to check it out! Top Ten Tuesday is a meme courtesy of The Broke and the Bookish.
Friends — Does that seem typical? My husband and I binge watched this last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The first couple of seasons are difficult to get into but it picks up afterwards and I found myself connected to every character.
How I Met Your Mother — I started watching this with my husband when we first started dating. I watched it to the very end and, to be honest, it didn’t end how I thought it would. But this series is totally bingeworthy too!
Doctor Who — I have not watched any classic Who although I do know the Doctors before Nine. I had heard so much about Doctor Who and I thought I’d jump on the bandwagon and watch it since it was all on Netflix. I fell in love with it! Nine was the first Doctor but I love Ten the most. ❤ If you love fantasy, sci-fi, action/adventure with a touch of romance, watch this! You won’t be sorry!
Gilmore Girls — Truthfully, I only watched up to season 6. After certain events with Luke and Lorelei, I couldn’t bear to watch it anymore. I know how it ends so feel free to talk to me about it if you wish. XD I am excited for the new episodes coming on Netflix in November though! I see that most of the old cast is back which means more Dean and Jess! Yay! ❤
Downton Abbey — Seriously, guys. This show made me fall in love with the Edwardian era. I remember stumbling across this show on Netflix when it was just the 2 seasons. Even my husband likes it! We watched the last few seasons together and I was so sad to watch the final season and see it all go. This is an epic of a TV show. It’s won so many awards and has a slew of great actors. If you love period dramas filled with romance, well, drama!, and secrets, please watch this!
Heroes — Okay, so I only watched seasons 1 & 2 of this show. I heard it went way downhill after that, and then a few months ago they tried to revamp the series but I don’t think it worked. This is about a group of people who discover they have supernatural powers. Of course, there’s some secret operation who want to get their hands on the people with the powers. It was good while I watched it but I’m not even in the mood to finish the rest of the show.
When Calls the Heart — This is my one, cheesy, romantic Hallmark channel TV show I watch. I’m behind about half a season and while yes, there are a handful of terribly bad, overdramatic actors, it’s a cute storyline that takes places during the early 1900s in Canada. A privileged young woman named Elizabeth takes a teaching position in a mining town. It’s far from the life she’s used to so it’s fun watching her fumble and mess up. Of course, there’s romance but there’s also character development and plot twists (some a little far-fetched) but this is such a light-hearted romance, too, and that’s what I like about it.
Sailor Moon — I feel like I’ve mentioned Sailor Moon often but it was the first TV show I super loved. I remember coming home from school and turning on Cartoon Network to watch the English subbed version of the 90s. I’ve read all the manga, and I’m thrilled to see that Crystal was made because of the 20th anniversary. I have all the Funko Pops, too. 🙂 If you like the magical girl genre, watch this! There’s also two LGBTQ characters so yay for diversity!
Sherlock — I fell in love with this show (and Benedict Cumberbatch!) from the very first episode! This show is absolutely brilliant. I wish they would make more episodes! If you love mysteries and thrillers, watch this! PLEASE. WHAT ARE YOU DOING RIGHT NOW? BETTER GO WATCH THIS.
Okay, I give up. I can only come up with 9. Like I said, I don’t watch a lot of TV shows but these are all some of the ones I’ve enjoyed and have seriously binge-watched! Anything else I should watch based on what I showed?
