Review: “Lumberjanes, Vol. 2: Friendship to the Max”

Love, love, love, love, love it! There’s nothing not to love about this really. We’re back at Miss Qiunzella Thiskwin Penniquiqul Thistle Crumpet’s Camp for Hardcore Lady-Types with Jo, April, Mal, Molly, and Ripley and I’m loving everything about it.

Between the river monsters, magic, and the art of friendship bracelets, this summer is only just beginning. Join the Lumberjanes as they take on raptors and a sibling rivalry that only myths are made of.”

My rating: 5/5 stars

Another mythical, mysterious adventure for the group of friends who truly show Friendship to the Max! There’s tension between the friends, too, but all of it is buoyed by the hilarious yet serious situations they find themselves in. There’s just something not quite right about camp, something not quite right about the boys camp a few miles over, and there’s definitely something Jo isn’t telling her friends!

The diversity of this group of friends is fantastic. PoC and LGBTQ characters galore! Even some sibling rivalry that’ll really make your raise your eyebrows.

And of course, Ripley seems to always save the day with her crazy antics! Riding on the back of a dinosaur? Easy peasy! I mean, everyone deserves a kitten, right? Well, of course!

I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these group of friends in the next volumes! ❤
