Review: “Prodigy” by Marie Lu

I really enjoyed Lu’s The Young Elites trilogy and it became one of my favorite series. While TYE is her 2nd series, Legend is her first so of course I had to read it and I’m actually enjoying it. I’m not a huge fan of dystopian novels–it’s not the genre I pick above all else but dystopians seem to be a big hit now and we’re seeing more and more of them in YA literature.

Well, I’m not really sure what to think of this. Do I now feel as if I needed to read this to appreciate the story more? Not really. Do I think it adds to the story? Yes, but only a little. Review: “Cress” (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

Look, it’s not that I don’t think this is a great series because it is. I don’t even think I can pick a favorite character, though I’m prone towards Thorne because it’s hilarious, and I think my favorite couple might just be Scarlet and Thorne because he’s dark and brooding but Cress and Thorne come in a close second because they’re just totes adorbs.

But I’m not as enamored with the series as I hoped to be. I don’t even know why! What’s wrong with me? I don’t know. There’s no excuse. That’s just how it is. #sorrynotsorry Or something like that…
