Review: “Prodigy” by Marie Lu

You can check out my review of Legend before you read this (scroll to the bottom). Unless you’ve already read this series then go forth!

I really enjoyed Lu’s The Young Elites trilogy and it became one of my favorite series. While TYE is her 2nd series, Legend is her first so of course I had to read it and I’m actually enjoying it. I’m not a huge fan of dystopian novels–it’s not the genre I pick above all else but dystopians seem to be a big hit now and we’re seeing more and more of them in YA literature.

Review: “A Court of Mist and Fury” by Sarah J. Maas

I prepared for a barrage of comments about my review for this book because… Well, I was rather underwhelmed with this book. Yes, it was better than A Court of Thorns and Roses but I wasn’t falling out of my seat in anticipation. Truthfully, there were times this book dragged on. I mean, it’s over 600 pages!

I have come out of my hidey-hole to review this book since the release date will be upon us soon!

Thanks to and Random House for providing a free digital copy in exchange for an honest review!

Review: “Cress” (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

Look, it’s not that I don’t think this is a great series because it is. I don’t even think I can pick a favorite character, though I’m prone towards Thorne because it’s hilarious, and I think my favorite couple might just be Scarlet and Thorne because he’s dark and brooding but Cress and Thorne come in a close second because they’re just totes adorbs.

But I’m not as enamored with the series as I hoped to be. I don’t even know why! What’s wrong with me? I don’t know. There’s no excuse. That’s just how it is. #sorrynotsorry Or something like that…
