WWW Wednesday #2

WWW Wednesday is a weekly blog meme started by Should Be Reading. In this post, I will answer these three questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

  • What are you currently reading?

Queen of ShadowsWell, if you follow me on Twitter or even on Instagram, you know I’ve been rereading the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas. The sixth book in the series, Tower of Dawn, released last week, and it’s been a good two years since I read books 1-4. Since ToD is about Chaol, one of my favorite characters from the series, I decided a reread was in order. This is a good thing because in my reread, I have forgotten so much. This past weekend, I started Queen of Shadows. It’s such huge book (well over 500 pages!), so it’s taken me a few days to even look like I’ve made a dent in it, lol.

Nonetheless, there’s already things I’ve forgotten! I mean, I vaguely remember them. I think there’s some revelation about Manon, but I don’t know remember what that is. But I do remember this being the book where I absolutely fell in love with Manon! Then there’s more badass ladies like Nesryn and Lysandra and omg, I need them!

Walk on Earth a StrangerI’m also listening to an audiobook. I’m guilty in that I listen to audiobooks of books that are on my shelf. 😛 It really just means I actually get through my TBR pile of books on my shelf. And I use the Overdrive app with my library card. First off, I wanna say that this book’s cover is gorgeous. It’s embossed and gold and shiny. *_* Although Walk on Earth a Stranger is historical fiction, it takes place during the 1840s American gold rush, which is basically a western in a sense, not something I usually pick up. But there’s also a magic element to it, because the main character, Leah, can detect gold. Anyway, this was a complete cover buy and I’m not ashamed! I’m quite enjoying it, too, so that’s good! I really like Leah as well.

  • What did you recently finish?

Well, The Assassin’s Blade obviously. As before, I read it after Heir of Fire and before QoS. Good thing, too, since so many characters from those novellas, especially the last two, make a reappearance here. I also finished Frostblood, which sequel, Fireblood, released yesterday.

  • What do you think you’ll read next?

Truthfully, I think I’ll read as much of Warcross by Marie Lu as I can. It just came out yesterday, but I’m seeing Marie on her book tour in Dallas on Saturday. While I want to enjoy it, I also want to read it because I’ve heard amazing things, and I don’t want to be spoiled if anyone says anything at her book signing! After that, I’ll definitely read Tower of Dawn and most likely Invictus by Ryan Graudin since I have an ARC.

Happy reading, y’all!
