Review: “Sapphire Blue” by Kerstin Gier

Well, I’m sort of back into the blogging game! It was actually quite nice not having to worry about writing up posts or thinking of content for a few days. 😛 I was on spring break last week, so I finished a few books, reread my favorite series (The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski), and just had a very bookish break. It was quite nice. Husband and I traveled as well. All around a good time.

But I’m not here to blab about my vacation!

Meeting the Author(s): Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I’m not definitely back from my hiatus, and the more I think about it, the more I think it’ll continue on for a few more weeks for ~reasons~ other than vacation now, lol. But anyway, that’s not the point of this post!

Last week I drove to Texas to attend the Obsidio book tour with authors Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff! It took place at a gorgeous, two-story Barnes and Noble and wow, was it a great crowd! I knew I couldn’t miss going to this because 1) It was the first weekend of my spring break, so HELLO, what a way to celebrate, 2) when would these authors ever be near me again (let alone half-way across the world considering they’re Australian!), and 3) the event was moderating by the lovely Mary over at Mary Had a Little Book Blog!

Review: “The Traitor’s Kiss” by Erin Beaty

Well, I really wanted to like this more than I did. The cover is absolutely gorgeous, and I was expecting a lot but it just didn’t deliver.

Just a small announcement: I’m going on a small hiatus after this post. Next week is spring break, so I’m using that to focus more on my own writing. But I’m also going out of state for vacation, meaning I won’t be on quite often. I’ll try to catch up with reviews when I’m back, but I’m using the next few days and next week actually to catch up on some rereads. 🙂

February Wrap-up & Book Haul!

Per usual I’m a little late posting this but… At least, it’s better than nothing, right? 😅

February was actually a slow month for me. I was doing (am still doing, actually) some heavy editing and revising with my own book, so I didn’t care too much for reading. Audiobooks are seriously a lifesaver, though. I also read a few eARCs this month, so I’ve been slowly checking off books from my semi-made TBR for February. March is looking pretty similar, to be quite honest… 😶

ARC Review: “The Astonishing Color of After” by Emily X.R. Pan

Where do I even begin? I was immediately drawn to this book because of the main character who is biracial (half-white, half-Asian) like myself. Little did I know what a wild and heartfelt journey this book would be.

The great thing is that I won this review copy from a giveaway hosted by TheNovl. I was completely shocked when it came because 1) I never win anything, and 2) little did I think it would be one of my most anticipated releases of 2018!

‘Waiting on’ Wednesday: March Releases!

Hello, all! I figured I’d keep it all together by spotlighting the books I’m most excited for that are releasing (or already released since yesterday was Tuesday) for this month!

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s really simple: Just talk about the books you’re excited for! It doesn’t have to come out next week or even next month!

So here’s mine:
