Top 5 Wednesday: Auto-buy SF&F Authors

Well, doing this post was a no brainer, with fantasy as my go-to genre. 🙂

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly blog meme started on Goodreads as a group. You can check out the group and the remaining topics for this month here.

Not only is Marie Lu such a kind, caring, nice individual (I’ve met her twice, can I say that now?), she’s an incredible author. I fell in love with The Young Elites trilogy, and she paved the way as a favorite author when I finished Champion, book 3 of the Legend series. Buying Warcross was not a hard question. I devoured the book and absolutely loved it. I can’t wait to see what else she’s writing, so in the meantime, I’m eagerly awaiting the second and final book of the Warcross duology, Wildcard.

Do I even need to say anything about Leigh Bardugo? She’s wonderful and kind in person and her writing improves with every book. I feel in love with the Six of Crows duology, and am eagerly awaiting her return to the Grishaverse with King of Scars, a WHOLE SERIES dedicated to that dashing prince Nikolai.

Okay, so I’m quite torn with Sarah J. Maas. I absolutely adore the Throne of Glass series, and while I enjoyed the ACoTaR series (I’m still reading the third book), it’s not my favorite. So Sarah is an auto-buy only in regards to ToG, lol. Every book in that series has upped the ante and I both dread and look forward to the seventh and final book in the series.

I’ve fallen so in love with these series that if and when these authors continue to write, I will buy their books! Well, we’ve already seen that with Iron Gold. The Green Rider series is up to six books and I’m eagerly awaiting the third book in the An Ember in the Ashes series… Just so many books to devour and look forward to!

Did you think I would forget The Winner’s Curse? 😉 I know it isn’t Marie Rutkoski‘s debut series, and while she’s supposedly supposed to have a book released this fall, I haven’t heard any news in regards to that (I’m still crossing my fingers!). Rebel Seoul is an amazing sci-fi debut by Axie Oh which takes place in a futuristic Seoul.

Leave your T5W link below and I’ll be sure to check out your post. (And add books to my forever growing TBR!)
