I think I’m s l o w l y making my way back into blogging, but just–erm, S L O W L Y as I said before. Since I’m on summer break, I’ve already got a few blog posts in mind, along with a schedule as well, so we’ll see how this month goes. 🙂
But that also means I have time to post a wrap-up and book haul for June! I can’t remember if I posted one for May but… It’s too late for that now, lol.
June was a fairly mild month for me. I read my usual average number (6), but because my priority hasn’t been blogging, I find that I’m able to enjoy books now that I somehow don’t feel obligated to post reviews on them anymore (unless they’re ARCS, of course).
Legendary (eARC) by Stephanie Garber – ★★★★
A Reaper at the Gates (ARC) by Sabaa Tahir – ★★★★★
Emerald Green by Kerstin Gier – ★★★
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon – ★★★★
Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi – ★★★ 1/2
The Smoke Thieves (ARC) by Sally Green – ★★
My favorite read for June was definitely A Reaper at the Gates!
Now here’s the fun part about June’s book haul. I only bought 3 books! The rest were sent to me.
Here’s the stack I won from a giveaway back in April, which finally arrived a couple of weeks ago: (A huge thanks to Sourcebooks Fire!)
This one was sent to me last week:
And here’s the three I purchased:
Now you must be wondering the same thing I am: Nicole, do you have room for all these books on your shelves? And the answer is a resounding NO. Sadly, I have run out of shelf space. So my goal for July is to read the books that are on my shelves, and if I don’t like it, I’ll trade/sell/donate it.
So here’s to July and a for sure good reading month! 🙂
