July ’18 Wrap-up and Book Haul!

I can’t believe August is already here! I feel like I say that every time a new month begins, but it’s true! It just seems we’re on the downward slope of 2018 (which is also a crazy thought)!

I was on summer break for the month of July, and finished the month with a impressive end count, if I do say so myself. I actually posted a lot of the July as well, which is also great because who knows where it’ll go from here!

First off, we start with the wrap-up:

Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds – ★★★★
I Really Didn’t Think This Through by Beth Evans (ARC) – ★★★★★
The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon – ★★★★
The Cruel Prince by Holly Black – ★★★
Flame in the Mist by Renée Ahdieh (reread) – ★★★★
All the Crooked Saints by Maggie Stiefvater – ★★ 1/2
Smoke in the Sun by Renée Ahdieh (ARC) – ★★★★
The Bird and the Blade by Megan Bannen – ★

My favorite book of July is definitely The Mime Order. I recently received The Song Rising through a trade, so I hope to start that within the next few weeks. 🙂

I’ve got a pretty small book haul, and that’s fine. My main goal was to read a bunch of books, not buy them. But truthfully, there weren’t a lot of books I really wanted that released in July. And because it was so hot outside, I just preferred to stay where there was AC. 🙂

Want and Moxie were both trades. I had a 40% off coupon to by Lifel1k3, and then I won Born a Crime from Goodreads. Not too bad, I suppose. 🙂

I have no idea what August will look like. I’ve been back at work for a full week, and am starting my second week. It’s been busy, and I’m always tired when I come home (I hate waking up early)! I also try to squeeze in some reading, but as soon as I lay in bed, my eyes get so heavy! LOL

Hope y’all had a good reading month for July! Even if you didn’t, that’s okay! Feel free to post your book hauls and wrap-ups in the comments!
