With April here (already mid-way through), I feel like spring is officially here. Now what this means for my reading, I have no idea. But what it does for my mental health is really amazing. I feel more motivated to do stuff during the weekdays and even during the weekends. But that also means nicer weather to do more social activities which can be mentally and emotionally draining for me.
Hence why it’s taken me so long to post my wrap-up and book haul for March! I mean, it’s really become classic Nicole to post these things mid-way through the month, right? Haha. This also means I did not take a “wrap-up” photo for the month so this will be a little different, too. I promise to do better next month.
And the wrap-up!
Shadow Me (Shatter Me #4.5) by Tahereh Mafi – ★★★★
Two Dark Reigns (Three Dark Crowns #3) by Kendare Blake – ★★★★
A Dangerous Collaboration (Veronica Speedwell #4) (eARC) by Deanna Raybourn – ★★★★★
Courting Darkness (His Fair Assassin #4) (ARC) by Robin LaFevers – ★★★
Queen of Air and Darkness (His Dark Artifices #3) by Cassandra Clare – ★★★★ 1/2
Sky without Stars (System Divine #1) (eARC) by Jessica Brody and Joanne Rendell – ★★ 1/2
My favorite read in March was definitely QoAaD and A Dangerous Collaboration.
Now for the book haul:
This month’s book haul is extra huge because I went to the North Texas Teen Book Festival last month. If I hadn’t, I would have 2 books to show. Of the books shown, I am the most excited for We Hunted the Flame, Somewhere Only We Know, and Wicked Fox. I hope to dive into a good chunk of these books after I finish reading A Kingdom of Copper.
How was your reading for the month of March? What did you like/not like? I’d love to see your wrap-up and book haul posts, so feel free to leave them in the comments!
FYI, I’m doing a bit of spring (bookshelf) cleaning, and am currently hosting a giveaway on my Twitter for some books. It’s really easy to enter and there are ways for you to get bonus entries by just following my blog. Check it out here. The giveaway ends on May 3.
I am looking forward to starting the Dark Artifices series ♡
