Goodbye, May and hello, June! We’re basically halfway through the year already! π±
May was a pretty chill month for me in terms of the book-buying and hauls. I had a lot of personal things to take care of in May, so buying books was really just on the back burner. I think that’ll be the same for the rest of the summer, to be honest. I’m not upset about it because some things just take priority over my hobbies. π
First, the wrap-up!

My favorite read of the month was definitely Aurora Rising, but I actually enjoyed most of the books I read this month as you can see. I was a little sad I didn’t like Descendant of the Crane as much, and War Storm was a disappointment. The whole series was a bit of a disappointment, to be honest. An Enchantment of Ravens was a pleasant surprise though.
Now for the book haul:
I enjoyed We Hunt the Flame and Aurora Rising so much I bought copies on the release day. I also had to buy the Barnes and Noble edition of WHtF because… I can’t help myself. I found the Fairyloot edition of Circle of Shadows (with lavender sprayed edges) at a used bookstore for $10, and I couldn’t pass that up. I have the OwlCrate edition of Finale (which I’m still trying to decide if I like) and boughtΒ Rule last week when I went to my local indie. It sounds a bit likeΒ Three Dark Crowns, so I’m really intrigued.
That’s a wrap for May! I’m pretty sure I’ll be fairly strict in terms of book buying for June. I’ve got a few more personal things to take care of and I’m trying to unhaul books lately (which, in my mind, somehow equates to buying more books because yay! more room. However, I need to stop that mentality, lol).
How was May for you? If you write posts like these, please link yours in the comments–I’d love to read it.
May has been a great month for me, though it was super stressful!
I’m planning on reading Aurora Rising this month so I’m super happy to see that you loved it ahh!
I am about to post my wrap-up in like ten minutes so it’s not up yet π

I hope things aren’t so stressful in June for you, and that you enjoy AURORA RISING when you read it!
