Top 10 Tuesday: Most Anticipated Books of the Second Half of 2019

A weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

It’s sort of eerie how often I’ve mentioned that we’re halfway done with 2019 and then blog topics like this arise! Wasn’t I just writing one for the first half of the year? Maybe I imagined that, lol.

Just so you know, it’s difficult to pick only 10!

September releases:

I’ve been eagerly awaiting Frankly in Love for a really long time! And hello, this Mulan story by an OwnVoices author?! Yes, please!!

October releases:

Just a note here, but I’ve seen Ninth House shelved as Young Adult on Goodreads, but just so everyone knows, Leigh has said multiple times that Ninth House is NOT YA. Please see her Tweet regarding this. If you ever wonder how to determine this, look at the publishing house for the book.

November releases:

While I haven’t been a fan of Stiefvater’s other works, I do love The Raven Cycle. So I’m extremely excited for Call Down the Hawk, which centers around Ronan. The same can be said of Kiersten White. I didn’t really care for And I Darken, which has made me hesitant to pick up anything else by her, but this retelling sounds amazing, and I’m all here for it.

All-American Muslim Girl is a contemporary I’ve been keeping an eye on lately.  The cover is beautiful, and I’m intrigued by the premise as it sounds like it could be just as good as A Very Large Expanse of Sea by Tahereh Mafi.
