WWW Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. In this post I will answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
I haven’t quite gotten back into reviewing, but WWW Wednesday posts are some of my favorite to write. 🙂
What are you currently reading?
Meet Cute is another book on the long list on NA/Adult romances I want to read. It’s a really cute story with a lovely sibling relationship. The two MCs have a really good romance and they aren’t condescending toward each other either. I look forward to seeing where the rest of this book goes.
I purchased Ghosts of the Shadow Market back in June, but while I have Sorcery of Thorns on hold, I wanted to read this since I knew I couldn’t physically get to it. Anyway, it’s been fun to read and I love learning about Jem and all these stories around him. I’ve been reviewing each short story on my Goodreads. I can tell you I like this collection of short stories far better than I did Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy.
I picked up The Dream Gatherer on a whim while I was the local library. It’s a novella companion to the Green Rider series, which is one of my favorite fantasy series. I didn’t get too far in it, but I’m excited to dive back into the world.
What did you recently finish reading?
While I’ve been on my hiatus, I feel like my reading took a very casual stance. As in, I wasn’t worried about coming up with an articulate review, so I simply devoured as many books as I could (which I talked about a bit on my last post).
I was on a long wait list at the local library for The Bride Test so when my turn came around, I was dying for it. It was so good! I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
I bought Wilder Girls for Barnes and Noble’s YA book club tomorrow. I read it fairly quickly but was left completely dissatisfied. I’m eager to attend the book club to see what everyone else thought about it.
Frankly in Love was a pleasant surprised. I received an ARC in the mail and started it immediately. I knew it would be a cute romance with some deeper meaning, but I didn’t know how much it would resonate with me as a biracial person (even though the MC isn’t biracial). I hope to be able to share my review of this book with you soon.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have the first two books checked out from my library already. Sorcery of Thorns is currently on hold as an audiobook.
I’m excited to dive into The Unhoneymooners. It’ll be the first Christina Lauren book I’ve read. Fix Her Up was put on my TBR on a whim, but so far I’ve heard some positive things about it. As for Sorcery, I loved Rogerson’s An Enchantment of Ravens so I’m excited to dive back into another world Rogerson created.
That’s it for now! As I’ve said before I’m not diving fully back into blogging, but I do miss it and the comments y’all leave me and the conversations we have. 🙂 I hope you continue to stick with me as I figure out how blogging best fits back into my life.
I love Jem and was happy he played such a part in all of these stories.
Wilder Girls had me hooked from the start, but I really wish we were getting a sequel. The rest on your list are on my TBR, haha.

Me too! Jem is one of my favorite characters. ❤
I really wish I liked WG, but I see the reviews are polar opposites. I want there to be a sequel because I felt like there were a lot of unanswered questions, but Idk if I would even read it, LOL.

So curious about The Bride Test. All of your ‘read next’ books look interesting too.

If you’ve read Hoang’s THE KISS QUOTIENT, THE BRIDE TEST is fantastic. Even if you haven’t read her previous work, though, it’s still good. I really enjoyed it!

I keep seeing mixed reviews for Wilder Girls. I have also heard that its quite gruesome, so probably isn’t the book for me. I’m sorry you didn’t like it, but hopefully The Bride Test made up for it!! And that the books you’re currently reading are amazing too 😊

It is gruesome! The author posted some trigger/content warnings on her website, so if that’s something you’re cautious of, definitely check them out. And yes, THE BRIDE TEST certainly made up for it! 🙂
