WWW Wednesday #17

WWW Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. In this post I will answer the following questions:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these so… yeah. 🙂

What are you currently reading?

I’ve taken on a lot this week just because I don’t have enough time in the world to read all the books! LOL I got an eARC of Fireborne which releases next week. I have to admit I’m not one to graviate toward books with dragons, but I’m so into this book. It has an interesting dynamic and the contrast between the two main characters really leaves me on the edge of my seat.

I borrowed Serpent & Dove from the local library for Barnes and Nobles’ YA book club. S&D is October’s book, and the book club meets tomorrow! I missed September’s due to work and I was sad! I’m a little over 50% done, so I’m not quite sure I’ll finish in time for the book club but I’m definitely going to try.

Rebel released last week, so I decided to reread the original trilogy so I can go into Rebel with all the information. I don’t know if it’s necessary, but I forgot so much. I haven’t read the book in three years.

What did you recently finish?

Wow, I didn’t realize I had finished such a variety of books. Waiting for Tom Hanks was a disappointment… We’re just gonna leave it at that. Geekerella was such a surprisingly enjoyable read. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I loved the message of love and acceptance in the fandom culture. Capturing the Devil was also a good read, better than Escaping from Houdini. I think CtD rivals my love for Hunting Prince Dracula.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Most likely not all of these at once. The first two are ARCs, and the latter two are library books. But Gravemaiden and A River of Royal Blood are both October releases, so my goal is to read them and post reviews on my blog. I’m looking forward to all of these books, to be honest.

Have you read anything good lately? Something you didn’t like perhaps? Let me know in the comments!
