WWW Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. In this post I will answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
Wow, we’re on #18? My mind just flitted to the moment that we’ll be in the 20s and 30s. Also, wow I can’t believe I’ve had my blog long enough to say that…
First off, I just wanted to give a shout out to The Quiet Pond for featuring my bookstagram on one of their posts yesterday. TQP always offers insightful blog and discussion posts regarding marginalized creators and always work to feature diverse books on their blog. Thank you so much!!
What are you currently reading?
Not too long ago I increased my Goodreads yearly goal from 75 to 100. Instantly, I was behind 3 books. 🤣 Anyway, not that I’m feeling the pressure or anything but I somehow have gone to reading a physical book, an e-book, and listening to an audiobook. 🙃
I’m listening to Unearthed because, to be honest, it’s a filler while I wait for the audiobook of Rebel to become available. I recently listened to the first three books in the series again and decided I wanted to continue that way despite owning a physical copy.
Gravemaidens is an eARC that’s been sitting on my e-reader for quite some time. I put it in the backburner of my brain, only to realize that it published not too long ago and I hadn’t even gotten to it yet. Shame on me, I know. I’m a little less than halfway through and to be honest, I’m not enjoying it as much as I thought. I won’t judge it too harshly just yet since I’ve still got plenty of the book left to read.
What did you recently finish reading?
I seem to…have a pattern lately. New adult romances and sci-fi / dystopian books. Welp, I’m not complaining. Sadly, though, these previous romance books I’ve read haven’t been my favorite. Champion, of course, was just as wonderful and heartbreaking as the first time I read it. I seriously cannot wait until I can finally get to Rebel.
After reading The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren, I instantly put Twice in a Blue Moon on hold at the library. I picked it up this past weekend and dove into it. I just finished it last night, and really enjoyed it. While it wasn’t my favorite new adult romance book, the fact that I breezed right through it makes me eager for another Christina Lauren book.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Man, this is a hard question. I’ve got a few books from the library come in because I had them on hold. I have a feeling I’ll get to them first so…
I know by the time I do a similar post again, I’ll have read Rebel. The Chai Factor and The Ten Thousand Doors of January are just two of (many!) books I have on hold at the library. They came in this past weekend. I’m excited to read both of them!
Happy reading for the month of November! Have you read anything good lately? I know the holidays can make everything feel so rushed and crazy, but I hope you find time for yourself.
