WWW Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words. In this post I will answer the following questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
Marissa Meyer will be at the North Texas Teen Book Festival next weekend, so I figured I might as well hop on the bandwagon and start Renegades. I’m really enjoying it so far, and I’ve got about 150 or so pages left to read.
There was a cover reveal for the third book in the Once Upon a Con series called Bookish and the Beast which is supposed to be a Beauty and the Beast retelling…which happens to me one of my favorite type of fairytale retellings. Anyway, this gave way to the thought that I hadn’t actually read the second book in the series, The Princess and the Fangirl. I’m listening to it on audiobook and really enjoying it! I just adore how it’s a pure love letter to geek/nerdy culture.
What did you recently finish reading?
I won’t say too much about Anna K yet as my review will go up sometime this week or maybe next week. But I will say it wasn’t what I expected… I mean, I know it’s a modern retelling of Anna Karenina which isn’t my favorite classic, but I expected a little more from it. Oh well.
Their Fractured Light is the third and final book in the Starbound trilogy. I really enjoyed the book and ended up giving it 4 out of 5 stars. I think this is series that should be listened to on audiobook, as we see some familiar narrators from Kaufman’s other series.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I plan to continue with the Renegades trilogy by starting book 2 as soon as I finish book 1. Would Like to Meet is a NA romance I checked out from the library. I feel like it’s been a bit since I read a good NA romance, so I hope this one fits the bill. My husband read the synopsis after I picked it up and even he said it sounded “good”, which really says a lot since he’s not a big reader. 🤣
I’d love to know what you’re reading. Let me know in the comments. 🙂
I’m completely in love with the covers of the Starbound trilogy! I need to read those books 😍

I had no idea Would Like to Meet was NA. That cover just throws me off. I was expecting YA.

Definitely not YA. The main character is 29. I think that may even be out of the age range for NA, but I’m calling it NA anyway. 😛

I would say it could still be NA. I think it goes to 29. It’s just the illustrated cover craze. It’s messing up my cover/genre guesses!
