Top 10 Tuesday: Spring TBR

TTT-Big2
A weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

I’ve always had trouble sticking to a TBR, but there are a lot of great books coming out in the next few months which I happen to have ARCs of, so my list will mainly consist of these. (Which is fun really because I hope you add some of them to your TBR!)

Earlier this week I was sent a copy of Diana Urban’s All You Twisted Secrets. It’s pitched All Your Twisted Secretsas One of Us Is Lying for Agatha Christie fans. To be honest, mystery/thriller is not my usual “go-to” genre but I’m pretty open to exploring outside of my “usual” genres as I’ve been pleasantly surprised in the past.

It releases today but I received an early copy rather late, so I’m going to stick with reading it so I can give a proper review.

Here’s the synopsis:

“What do the queen bee, star athlete, valedictorian, stoner, loner, and music geek all have in common? They were all invited to a scholarship dinner, only to discover it’s a trap. Someone has locked them into a room with a bomb, a syringe filled with poison, and a note saying they have an hour to pick someone to kill … or else everyone dies.

Amber Prescott is determined to get her classmates and herself out of the room alive, but that might be easier said than done. No one knows how they’re all connected or who would want them dead. As they retrace the events over the past year that might have triggered their captor’s ultimatum, it becomes clear that everyone is hiding something. And with the clock ticking down, confusion turns into fear, and fear morphs into panic as they race to answer the biggest question: Who will they choose to die?”

These books release next month! I’m really excited about Crave because I want some more vampire books that are better than Twilight (though I loved that series in high school, don’t get me wrong!). I read somewhere that Incendiary is a bit like the Spanish Inquisition set in a fantasy world and I didn’t have to think twice.

I’ve been eager about The Silence of Bones since I first heard about it. It’s a mystery set in Josen-era Korea. I love historical fiction, and it’s not often I read a book with my motherland as the setting. So… I’m a bit of an eager beaver.

These are two May releases on my TBR. I’m participating in the blog tour for More Than Maybe as well. I really enjoyed Hahn’s debut novel, You’d Be Mine, so I can’t wait to dive into this book.

While I wasn’t a fan of Cluess’s previous series, I am very excited to read House of Dragons. The cover alone makes me drool.

I don’t have Aurora Burning as an ARC, but I’d be lying to myself if I said I wouldn’t be buying it on its release date and reading it immediately… So there’s that. 🙂

As I was putting these images together I had to do a double-take because for some reason I thought I’ll Be the One didn’t release until September but… It releases in June! Don’t confuse yourself like I did! I do not have an ARC of that one, but I do of the others.

I absolutely cannot wait to start reading each and every book on this list. It’s just a handful of what my spring TBR holds. I wish I could include audiobooks in this (and trust me, audiobooks do count as reading), but I often don’t have a set TBR in terms of audiobooks; it’s really just whatever is available through my local library.

Anyway, I know things are crazy in the world right now but please remember to keep yourself (and others) safe!
