If I haven’t said it yet, Happy New Year and welcome to 2021! I was on holiday break for 2.5 weeks and spent a lot of time trying to catch up on my Goodreads reading goal (but I didn’t reach it). Because of that, I’m pretty sure I read more books last month than any other months in 2020.
A special shoutout to historical romance and new adult romance for helping me reach that goal, LOL. (As you’ll soon see.)
Also, apparently I didn’t do a wrap-up and book haul for November… So… oops! Sorry if you were looking forward to that.
The wrap-up is always first so here we go! 🙂

Y’all, this is never gonna happen again. I’m never going to be able to read 15 books in a month, I swear, lol. But it was fun, I won’t deny it, especially the historical romance and new adult romance. I ended the year with a bang with Wicked and the Wallflower because it was just SO good. I can’t wait to read the companion novels.
Just a VERY small book haul for the month:

I spent most of December listening to the audiobooks in order to have all the events fresh on my mind as I dove into this final book. (I’m really glad I did because not only do I love this series but the audiobooks are amazing.)
I purchased a signed copy and was so happy that it came in while I was on holiday break! I actually started it during the last leg of my break and finished it within a few days. I cried many tears during the last 40 pages with lots of sniffles and gross tissues, if that tells you how I feel about it. I think most of my tears mainly came from this series simply being over. Of course it was sad to say goodbye to the characters, too, which have all been through their own type of hell. 🤣 Am I happy with the ending? Totally. I had a feeling it would sort of go this way but I couldn’t imagine the in-between, the how, we would get there.
I thought ultimately the events boiled down to how the choices you make affect yourself and others around her, and what are you going to do when you have the option to love or to hate?
I’m not even sure I can review the book properly, but if I do I’ll definitely post it here on the blog!
I hope you had a good December despite the circumstances. If you post a monthly wrap-up and/or book haul, leave a link in the comments and I’ll be sure to check it out! 🙂
