‘Waiting on’ Wednesday (WoW) is a book blog meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s really easy to participate: all you have to do is feature upcoming books you’re excited about–it doesn’t necessarily have to release the next month. But for my own sanity, I try to feature books month-by-month.
Me, telling myself I’m going to be better about putting a bunch of books on my TBR pile but not actually doing it:
At least I can break it up by category. Here are a few non-YA books I’m looking forward to:
Much Ado about Nothing and Make Up Break Up both release on February 2. ACoSF releases on February 16. I really enjoyed Young’s Fight or Flight so I’m excited to read another book by her. (Yes, I know she has backlist books but I am lazy.)
February 2:
A Taste of Love has The Great British Baking Show as a comp title and I’m pretty sure that’s the first time I’ve seen that! I love that show! Writte by an Asian author with Asian main characters (baking and boba!!), I knew I had to add this book to my TBR pile!
The cover of Fat Chance, Charlie Vega immediately grabbed my attention. It’s stunning and beautiful, so of course there’s no question I need to read that book!
February 9:
These covers!!! I can’t get over how gorgeous they are!! With A Taste of Love and A Phở Love Story, I feel like I need to head to my nearest boba and phở restaurant while reading these books. In the midst of these contemporary romances, The Gilded Ones seems like the perfect fantasy to dive into, especially with a synopsis like this:
“Sixteen-year-old Deka lives in fear and anticipation of the blood ceremony that will determine whether she will become a member of her village. Already different from everyone else because of her unnatural intuition, Deka prays for red blood so she can finally feel like she belongs.

February 16:
Oh man, again with the gorgeous book cover! Again, an immediate eye-catcher. This is a thriller/mystery and deals with grief, so I imagine it will be a bit heavy at times. But when I read these, I like to find the strength and perseverance a character finds as they go through this struggle. Right now, I’m already picturing the book in my hands… And it’s so pretty.
Here’s the synopsis:
“Eighteen-year-old Amelia Griffin is obsessed with the famous Orman Chronicles, written by the young and reclusive prodigy N. E. Endsley. They’re the books that brought her and her best friend Jenna together after Amelia’s father left and her family imploded.
