Um… Oops! Yes, hello, it’s June and you are just now seeing April’s wrap-up because… I forgot. I had this in my “Drafts” but never scheduled it. I don’t know how or why that happened but hey… I gotta keep going with these!
Check out my previous wrap-ups and book hauls:
The wrap-up:
Storm from the East (Glass Alliance #2) by Joanna Hathaway – ★ ★ ★ ★
Call Down the Hawk (Dreamer Trilogy #1) by Maggie Stiefvater (audiobook) – ★ ★ ★ 1/2
Southern Sun, Northern Star (Glass Alliance #3) by Joanna Hathaway (eARC) – ★ ★ ★ ★
Zoe Rosenthal Is Not Lawful Good by Nancy Werlin (ARC) – ★ 1/2
Act Your Age, Eve Brown (The Brown Sisters #3) by Talia Hibbert – ★ ★ ★ ★
What’s Not to Love by Emily Wibberly & Austin Siegemund-Broka (eARC) – ★ ★
Luck of the Titanic by Stacey Lee (ARC) – ★ ★ ★ 1/2
Switch by A.S. King (eARC) – ★ ★
My favorite from April is definitely Southern Sun, Northern Star. I finished it while on my lunch break at work and started crying. My boss came in and asked me if something was wrong and I told him I just finished a good book. So…yeah. 😅
Now to the book haul because oh wow, I actually have one this month!
If you didn’t know, April is Independent Bookstore Day (at least, it is in America, can someone international tell me if that’s a thing? It should definitely be a thing elsewhere) so I supported my local indie! I read These Violent Delights as an eARC and really enjoyed it so I’m happy to have a physical copy. Pride and Premeditation and The Forest of Stolen Girls are both historical mysteries.
May’s wrap-up and book haul will most likely post next week. I’m sorry for the delay but May has been a busy month work-wise so I’m at that point where I just want to pass out once I get home, lol. June hasn’t been too bad and I expect it’ll wind down toward the end of the month. I’ve also spent a majority of my weekends busy due to personal obligations but again, I think it’ll calm down soon!
What was your favorite read in April? Did you pick up any good books? Let me know in the comments!

Well, I know that it’s world book day here in April but I don’t know about Independent Bookshop Day.
I can’t say that I have read any of your reads for April but at least I have seen some of those covers before. Looks like your April was…kinda mediocre? I hope your current reading month goes better. 🙂
