What I’m Watching (and Already Watched)

Happy Tuesday! I figured a little break from all the bookish stuff may be warranted, as sometimes things can be a bit monotonous. Lately, I find it hard to break from the usual “review, blog meme, review” format.

I have to be honest though, I don’t watch a lot of television, and a show has to really grab me from the get-go in order for me to continue watching. Also, I seem to have a rather short attention span when it comes to shows I’m invested in.

This list also spans the start of the pandemic as well, since I started working from home in mid-March (I’m now at the office full time though). I definitely binged some shows during that time, lol.

Non-bookish Post #13: Quarantine Edition!

Um, apparently I haven’t done one of these since June 2019?! It’s long overdue. And really, what a better time to do this than now! I had meant to post this at least a month ago but… I don’t know. I think I expected things to go back to normal, but obviously it hasn’t. I’ve been working from home for around 9 weeks now, which has done swell things for my reading, lol.

The Summer of a Hiatus (Again!)

Hello, friends, and happy Monday!

If you’ve read some of my previous posts, you may have noticed me mentioning taking a hiatus. While I debated for a while about whether or not I actually wanted to go through with it (as I was worried about keeping up with my numbers and stats in the meantime), I’m here to tell you that I am in fact going on a hiatus. Just from blogging though. You can still catch me on other social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram.

Non-bookish Post #11: New year, goals, and a birthday…

It’s been a couple of months since I wrote a post like this, but I figured with the new year and a birthday, it was time! I’m trying to be better at “life updates,” so y’all don’t feel like you’re getting repetitive content but sometimes that can’t be helped. (After all, I do love me a good book blog meme. 😛 )

So… here we go! (And this post may not be completely non-bookish but… I’ll try!)

Non-bookish Post #9: Time for a Hiatus!

So…here’s the thing: I’ve contemplated a hiatus for a while now. I actually meant to take one back in January, soon after my birthday, but that never came to fruition. I was serious at work on revising the final draft on my book, and I was getting in over my head with the whole blogging, bookstagramming, writing, and working full-time.

I think it’s finally come head-to-head, and I realize I need to take a hiatus or else my brain might just explode. Work is and will continue to get busy. I’m in the middle of rereading a bunch of books because sequels keep coming out. And I want to focus more on my writing as well.

Non-bookish post #7: My Dream Crate!

So a couple of weeks ago, I found out that Loot Crate wanted fans to put together their very own “dream crate,” its own theme, items, etc., and let me just say I was so excited to be approached & incredibly excited to put together a post!

If you don’t know anything about LootCrate, it’s a monthly subscription box. Like other sub boxes, it’s based around a theme and filled with various fandom items particular to that theme. Here’s a list of their past boxes and the items. So you can see it varies from crate to crate. What’s also great about LootCrate is that there are a variety of crates to choose from, whether you like gaming, anime, things for your pets, or just a crate filled with items to wear. Not only does LootCrate have particular crates but there are also fandom particular crates, too! This past November, they launched the Wizarding World Crate, which I bought, and loved! (I’ll post about that…eventually, haha!) But there’s also a Firefly Crate (Husband would love that) and a Sanrio crate (might need to get that for myself–after all, my birthday’s next month!)

Anyway, here’s the theme for my crate: “Fantasy Girl Power” and I’ve filled with a myriad of items I would absolutely love to receive or get for myself!

Non-bookish Post #6: NaNoWriMo Update & Things

I felt so accomplished this past week because I wrote and scheduled a bunch of blog posts. I reached 50k words for November’s NaNoWriMo, and I’m finally receiving some feedback from my beta readers about my book! It’s so thrilling and makes me all giddy inside when people tell me they love my story even though it’s in its baby stage.

Thanksgiving came and went, and now Christmas is slowly creeping up on us which also means a new year! Oh heavens, how did that all happen so quickly? Continue reading
