Top Ten Tuesday has been on a hiatus ever since Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish has been on maternity leave. But I’m glad to be back with the themes, and I’m really excited to share this one with you. The overall topic is “10 Book Recommendations for _________” and you can insert whatever you want. I decided to go with YA contemporaries since I used to not read them at all. But over the past year or so, I’ve definitely read some great ones, and I wanted to share some of my favorites with you! 🙂
lol Isn’t this all of us? One of the main reasons I’m always hesitant to start series is that most of them have a lot of hype surrounding them, and what if they don’t live up to my expectations? That’s a constant source of worry for me as I read any series. Haha.
Anyway, here are 10 I’ve been meaning to start but…well, haven’t!
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly blog meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
I can’t believe we’re nearly halfway through 2017! How? Where did time go? I always ask myself those questions, but never have sufficient answers. 😛
There was a similar post to this one a few months ago. It isn’t quite the end of June, so I haven’t read some of them, but I’m proud to say I have read a handful of them! XD So here’s what the later half of 2017 has in store…
You know, I think I’ve ever talked about book genres/topics that make me not pick up books. I’m fairly open when it comes to certain genres (I’ve grown to love contemporary more lately), but there are just certain ones I can’t bring myself to read.
Maybe I’m not the only one? (Hopefully!)
Ah, another topic I’m excited to write about! I think we’re all part of fandoms, whether it’s in books, movies, TV shows, games, etc. I love the community it creates, and that sense of closeness we have with people even though we may have never met in person.
This is going to be a hodge podge of things from my earliest fandoms to my absolutely favorites ones. 🙂

You know when you read a book due to all the hype surrounding it? I mean, it’s one of those books you most likely would have never picked up anyways, but gosh, so many people are talking about it. And you, being you, decided you NEED to know why everyone else loves it?
Alas, even I fall into that trap. Well, okay, maybe it’s not a trap, but dangit, sometimes I’m so entangled it feels exactly like that!

Top Ten Tuesday was started by The Broke and the Bookish and features a particular top each Tuesday (obviously). Today’s was a freebie one so I chose an older topic, Favorite Heroines. I get the strange feeling that I’ve done this one before… but I can’t remember! Haha. 😛
Don’t forget to leave your TTT, and I’ll be sure to check it out!
So here’s how I chose the ten books: I went through Goodreads and sorted through ratings. The books I rated 4.5-5 stars made the list! That was easy enough, right? Haha! These are in no particular order! I read all of these this year but that doesn’t mean they were published this year
GUYS, how do I even choose?! My Amazon wishlist is always overflowing with books that I
want need to buy that I would seriously be happy with any book from Santa! But I decided to keep it simply to 2016 or past releases since 2017 has a ginormous stack of books I want too!
