May ’20 Wrap-up and Book Haul!

I’m sure I’m not the only one when I say the pandemic has really messed with my brain, especially in keeping track with the days. I can’t believe it’s already June! But I returned to my physical work office for the first time this week after not commuting to and from work for almost 3 months.

Anyway, that’s not what this post is about! Let’s talk about the books I read and the ones I hauled!

Review: “Aurora Burning” by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

**Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the first book, Aurora Rising.**

So that’s how it’s going to end, huh? I should know better than to believe anything else when it comes from Amie and Jay, LOL. I briefly saw people reviewing this with somewhat polarizing opinions. But the general consensus is that the ending is a cliffhanger. And it’s true. It totally is! What the heck!

‘Waiting on’ Wednesday: May ’20 Releases

‘Waiting on’ Wednesday (WoW) is a book blog meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It’s really easy to participate: all you have to do is feature upcoming books you’re excited about–it doesn’t necessarily have to release the next month. But for my own sanity, I try to feature books month-by-month.

With the pandemic going on around the world, many books that were originally supposed to be published in May and June have been pushed back. I’ve excluded those from this post and will highlight them around the time they release.

Top 10 Tuesday: Books on My TBR I Predict Will Be 5-Star Reads

Well, this is an interesting topic! I don’t give out 5 stars like crazy, and a book really had to be almost perfect for me to do so. (Saying that… I think I have a fair amount of books 5 stars last year, LOL.) Anyway, this quite difficult because I was only able to pick 10 books! I have so many books on my TBR (almost 400!) that it was just so hard to choose!
