ARC Review: “The Wide Starlight” by Nicole Lesperance

A huge thanks to Razorbill for giving me a free digital copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I just want to give myself a pat on the back for reviewing this book before the publication date. Lately, that’s been a real struggle. *looks at my review of These Violent Delights*

Review: “My Calamity Jane” by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton, Jodi Meadows

If you missed my reviews of the first two books in the series, you can check them out here:

The books in this series aren’t connected; the only “real” connection is that the main characters are all named Jane. So you can read each book without having read any of the others. 🙂

ARC Review: “These Violent Delights” by Chloe Gong

Thanks to Margaret K. McElderry Books for giving me a free digital copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

First for 2021 is a review that I’ve been meaning to write since early last month. Yes, hello, woe is me that I’m WAY BEHIND on reviewing this book since it released…last year. Oops! The struggle is REAL when it comes to trying to write a coherent review that isn’t just, “I liked it. Go buy it.” lol

Review: “The Honey-Don’t List” by Christina Lauren

Happy Monday, friends! (Can a Monday be happy anymore? Was it ever happy? Anyway.) I’m back after a small holiday hiatus! In an attempt to try to get as close to my Goodreads reading goal (100 books!) as possible, I decided it to pick up new adult romances, which I usually read so quickly. So over the weekend, I borrowed this book from the library and managed to finish it. Shocker, I know. I didn’t think I’d do it.

ARC Review: “Super Fake Love Song” by David Yoon

Thanks to PenguinTeen for sending me an early copy!

I absolutely loved Yoon’s Frankly in Love, so when I saw that he was releasing another YA contemporary, I was very excited (though the cover isn’t my favorite). This book has a completely different vibe than FIL, and you have to dig a little deeper to find it. However, there are multiple, engrossing layers in this book–mending a sibling relationship, wondering who your parents really are, and not being ashamed of who you are. Once I got over the oddly hyperbolic writing style, I found myself enjoying it a lot more.

Review: “Supernova” by Marissa Meyer

Hi, friends! Sorry for not posting in over two weeks! I’ve been trying to figure out if I want to continue my blog into 2021 while also deciding what kind of content to keep producing. Anyway, it’s a bit of a jumble right now but I’ll keep going for the rest of 2020!

This review may contain spoilers. Feel free to check out my reviews of the first two books:

I think I like this series more than The Lunar Chronicles. Please tell me I’m not the only one? lol

ARC Review: “Kingdom of the Wicked” by Kerri Maniscalco

Thank you to JIMMY Patterson for a free digital copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Y’all, let me be honest for a second. I was very excited about this book. Maniscalco’s Stalking Jack the Ripper series was a rollercoaster for me (and by that I mean, I like the series as a whole but not all the books were absolute gems for me). But I love historical fiction, and the fact that Maniscalco is releasing a historical fantasy excited me!

Alas.
