Originally I was going to post a book haul and wrap-up, but then my mom reminded me over the weekend that Korean New Year (generally known as Lunar New Year) is today! Happy Year of the Pig! š·Ā Growing up, I didn’t celebrate Korean holidays, and only started learning about them as an adult. (My mom thinks it’s funny, but I secretly know she likes it when I remember them!)

December ’18 Wrap-up & Book Haul!
Well… My December book haul grew quicker than I thought it could… Without me even realizing it! Typical! With my own birthday to celebrate this month, I think I may go a little wild with books. I always view my birthday month as an entire “treat yo self” thing, which makes things… worse? Better? lol Not quite sure yet!
March Wrap-Up and Book Haul!
Will there ever be a time I stop saying “Better late than never”? Maybe…but today is not that day! š
March was quite a surprise. I was on spring break, so I reread one of my favorite series. I also did a reread (re-listen via the audiobook?) of the first book in theĀ Shatter Me series in prep for the release ofĀ Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. I only recently started listening toĀ Unravel Me so…my reread is going quite well… Haha.Ā š
So far April isn’t looking bad either, but I’ve already DNFed a book, the first this year. I’ve got a bunch of eARCs to read, too, and I’m trying to focus on reading books from my own shelves instead of the library. Um, right.
Top 5 Wednesday: 2018 Wishlist
Hello, all! I hope you have a very Merry Christmas (if you celebrate) and a very happy holidays! I skipped posting a blog on Christmas Day for obvious reasons, but I’m back on schedule with a delightful post featuring some of the books I’m looking forward to in 2018! (I still can’t believe we’re only 4 days away from the new year!

Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Books on My Fall TBR
If you know me at all, you know I’mĀ horrible at TBRs. Mainly because I’m like, “Oh my god, look at all the fall releases. Must read themĀ now!” and then proceed to request them all from my local library.Ā š¤£Ā But the thing is, I have so many unread books on my shelves (but then again, what bookworm doesn’t?), and so a while back I made a TBR Jar, which is nothing more than a mason jar I filled with rolled slips of paper ofĀ all the unread books on my own shelves. Well, that’s been going semi-well.
Since I started it, I’ve actually managed to read books andĀ get rid of the ones I don’t like (either by selling them or giving them away via my Twitter). That’s a miracle and of itself, I tell you, lol. š So the books mentioned here aren’t necessarily ~fall~ themed but rather, just books I’m really need to read. Screw the TBR Jar, I suppose?!

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I’ve Been Meaning to Start…but Haven’t.
lol Isn’t this all of us? One of the main reasons I’m always hesitant to start series is that most of them have a lot of hype surrounding them, and what if they don’t live up to my expectations? That’s a constant source of worry for me as I read any series. Haha.
Anyway, here are 10 I’ve been meaning to start but…well, haven’t!

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I Recently Added to My TBR
Occasionally, I go through my Goodreads shelves to clean or organize them. Sometimes it doesn’t help when I’m adding 5+ books a week sometimes. Here are the books I’ve most recently added to my “to-read” shelf!

ARC Review: “Blood Rose Rebellion” by Rosalyn Eves
Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Childrens for giving me a free digital copy in exchange for an honest review. (And also thanks to Brianna and Angelina at Fable’s Library forĀ passing along the physical ARC. š )
Mini Review: “We Should All Be Feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
It’s not widely known that Adichie is one of my favorite non-YA writers. I read Purple HibiscusĀ when I was an undergrad and fell in love. As I grew older, I devoured her other books like AmericanahĀ and Half of a Yellow Sun. All these books touch on subjects and explore cultures I know very little about, so when I read Adichie’s books, it’s a learning experience as well. We Should All Be Feminists is not an exception.
Review: “Everything, Everything” by Nicola Yoon
Wow, what a quick read. I seriously didn’t expect to finish this book as quick as I did, but alas, here I am, lol. Truthfully, this book has been on my radar since I first heard rave reviews a few months back. I saw it everywhere on #bookstagram, and then to see that it’s being turned into a movie (check out the trailer!), and the author will also be at the North Texas Teen Book Festival. I decided it was time to finally pick up this book.
