August ’19 Wrap-up and Book Haul (+ an Unhaul)

Hello, friends! Another month has come to an end. We’re in the last stretch of 2019. The days aren’t sweltering hot anymore, I’ve already burned a pumpkin-scented candle and had my first taste of the seasonal drinks at Starbucks. I’m dreaming about autumn as I type this… *sigh*

Like last month, August was another good reading month for me. The fact that I’m not reviewing in-depth every single book I read has helped a lot. I did have a lot of ARCs and eARCS for August, so I definitely reviewed those individually (which I will link below).

FairyLoot’s May 2017 Unboxing!

I’m so sorry this is incredibly late! I think the June boxes have already gone out and people have already received them. While I didn’t get a June box, I still haven’t share the May box with you guys. I’ve pushed aside writing this actual post, mainly because I’ve spent most of my spare time editing the fourth draft of my book or playing Horizon Zero Dawn on the PS4 (which is really great. ARC Review: “Flame in the Mist” by Renée Ahdieh

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book at this year’s North Texas Teen Book Festival. I was so excited to read this. Even though I didn’t like Ahdieh’s The Wrath and the Dawn duology (I can’t bring myself to even read The Rose and the Dagger), I instantly added this book to my TBR due to the eastern Asian influence. Then when I was able to get my hands on a physical copy, I screamed internally. A lot.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Books I’m Looking Forward to in the First Half of 2017

Omg, such a hard decision because there are so many good ones! But thankfully, I only have to focus on the first half. 😉

This is a mix of debut authors, sequels, and well-seasoned authors but all of them sound truly amazing! I can’t wait to get my hands on all of them, and thanks to my local library who has done a fantastic job getting newly released YA books, I won’t have to spend a fortune! ^_^ Continue reading
