Review: “DEV1AT3” by Jay Kristoff

Not as enjoyable as the first one, as I found myself zoning out while listening to the audiobook. I’m not sure if this is because I started this book immediately after finishing the first one and didn’t give myself enough time to process things.

This may contain spoilers for LIFEL1K3. Read at your own risk.

Review: “LIFEL1K3” by Jay Kristoff

Happy October! What a weird feeling to make to near the end of the wild year that has been and still is 2020.

Finishing LIFEL1K3 makes 70 books I’ve read so far. My goal is still 100, and according to Goodreads, I’ve 4 books behind. I told my spouse this the other day and he suggested I read some graphic novels or some shorter books, lol.

Review: “Aurora Burning” by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

**Possible SPOILERS if you haven’t read the first book, Aurora Rising.**

So that’s how it’s going to end, huh? I should know better than to believe anything else when it comes from Amie and Jay, LOL. I briefly saw people reviewing this with somewhat polarizing opinions. But the general consensus is that the ending is a cliffhanger. And it’s true. It totally is! What the heck!

Meeting the Author(s): Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff

I’m not definitely back from my hiatus, and the more I think about it, the more I think it’ll continue on for a few more weeks for ~reasons~ other than vacation now, lol. But anyway, that’s not the point of this post!

Last week I drove to Texas to attend the Obsidio book tour with authors Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff! It took place at a gorgeous, two-story Barnes and Noble and wow, was it a great crowd! I knew I couldn’t miss going to this because 1) It was the first weekend of my spring break, so HELLO, what a way to celebrate, 2) when would these authors ever be near me again (let alone half-way across the world considering they’re Australian!), and 3) the event was moderating by the lovely Mary over at Mary Had a Little Book Blog!

Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Read for the First Time in 2016

Yay! So I’m back to regular blogging now that NaNoWriMo is over! I’m currently working on a non-bookish post about my progress with NaNoWriMo and other things so keep an eye out for that soon!

Gosh, guys, I can’t believe it’s December already! I know people say that all the time but seriously, it’s almost Christmas! This makes me both excited and shocked that 2016 went by so quickly. But with the passing of December also comes January and… My birthday! I’ll be 28 in a little over a month. That’s crazy to think about to.

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

ARC Review: “Nevernight” by Jay Kristoff

I feel bad that I was unable to finish this book sooner. I saw it all around Instagram and read reviews on Goodreads about how amazing this book was so it just seemed logical to request a digital ARC on Netgalley…

And what do you know? 🙂 I got one. I’m not…wholly disappointed in the book. I had some qualms and it has its own quirks so… yeah.

Thanks to Netgalley and St. Martin’s press for giving me a free copy in exchange for an honest review. This in no one way affects my review for the book.

I’ll try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible.
