Well, what to say? The Testing was so good! Independent Study was fine. Graduation Day, the third and final book, was just…okay. I listened to this entire series via audiobook. Maybe the narrator didn’t help either. I didn’t like her voice acting, and she read s l o w l y that I had to speed up the narration!
While the second book in The Testing series wasn’t as good as the first one, I still enjoyed this book. We get a better sense of the world in which Cia lives and how she deals with the aftermath of the Testing.
I had an amazing opportunity to meet 4 fabulous YA authors a few weeks ago, and I’m finally sitting down to write a blog post about it. Writing about these types of events are some of my favorites. Meeting an author whose work(s) I really enjoy is like meeting a celebrity for me–they are celebrities to me. 😛
When I heard Joelle was coming to my city (which, trust me, we rarely get YA authors), I immediately picked up The Testing. It had been on my shelves for quite some time now, and due to my TBR jar, the odds picking that book are basically 1 in 100. Well, I pushed aside the TBR jar for now in order to read this and wow, why did I wait so long?
