Top 10 Tuesday: Book-to-Screen Adaptations I Want

A weekly blog meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

We all have our own unique opinion on what makes a good book adaptation. I don’t watch a lot of TV (I don’t have cable), but I do have a few streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime. However, I find myself sinking into a book rather than a TV show and surely I’m not the only one?

I will say that once the pandemic started and I was working from home, I binged a show called “Call the Midwife” since it was available on Netflix. I don’t regret it because the show is so good.

Anyway, we’re not here to talk about my personal TV habits (as Isabelle from Animal Crossing remind us).

October ’19 Wrap-up & Book Haul!

In case you didn’t realize… We have 2 months until 2020! Does this mean I can start counting down until my birthday? LOL

With end of another month comes another wrap-up and book haul. Despite my complete lack of motivation when it comes to blogging and bookstagramming, I somehow have all the motivation and desire to read! Is that even surprising?

My Most Recent Audiobooks (+ Mini Reviews #3)

I feel like it’s been a bit since I did some reviews, and you know, I sometimes don’t actually say whether or not a book I review is an audiobook (until the wrap-up, that is.)

Anyway, I’m in the confident crowd who states without a doubt that audiobooks definitely counts as reading (anyone who says otherwise can fight me). To be honest they’ve been a huge life saver when it comes to helping me reach my Goodreads goal. Anytime I’m in the care, I’m usually listening to an audiobook (or jamming out to BTS, depends on my mod, LOL).

T5W: (SFF) Book Series I Always Recommend

This is a spin on the actual topic which is “Books to Give _______ as Gifts.” The blank can be filled in with whatever you want… “Books to Give Parents as Gifts.” “Books to Give a Hufflepuff as Gifts,” etc. I wanted to do this spin because when people are asking for recommendations, I almost always recommend the following books. With Christmas around the corner, it’s really the perfect time to give them all as gifts!

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly blog meme hosted over on a Goodreads group. You can check out the group here, and see the remaining topics for the month.

Top Ten Tuesday: All about Audio(books)!

TTT was created by the Broke and the Bookish. Check out the other topics and don’t forget to leave your TTT so I can check it out! 🙂

So today’s TTT is all things audio. I could do 10 favorite audiobooks, albums, songs, bands, podcasts, whatever really. I’m going to focus on audiobooks. They don’t seem to get enough love but all the ones I’ve listened to are so good! And they really do a great job filling up the drive to and from work and home for me.

Reviews: “Between Shades of Gray” & “Legend”

This might be a long post but I finished these books at the same time and just thought it’s be easier to review them together!

I wanted to read something by Ruta Sepetys because I’ve seen her other book floating around the book world now. I love Marie Lu’s “The Young Elites” series so I knew I had to read her other series as well!

These two authors are also going to be at the North Texas Teen Book Festival at the end of April, and that may have had something to do with why I’m reading these books… 😉
