Oops. Is it almost April and I forgot to write this post? …Maybe. For some reason I thought I already had? I don’t know what’s going on with my brain… 😛

Continue readingCan I just say that March has been such a weird time? The coronavirus has affected almost everyone at this point. I’ve been telecommuting for over two weeks now. To say there aren’t perks of working from home would be a lie. I like being able to just roll out of bed and still wear by pajamas while checking my work e-mails. I’m pretty sure my dog Ollie is both happy and confused as to why I’m saying home every day, lol. But telecommuting also has its challenges. For me, that’s mainly the motivation to actually do work. But that’s another story. 😛
Anyway! March is finally behind us. Did it seem to last a really long time to you or was that just me? 😜 One of the funnest things I’ve done this month is attend the North Texas Teen Book festival, which is where a large portion of this month’s book haul comes from.
So…let’s get to it!
With April here (already mid-way through), I feel like spring is officially here. Now what this means for my reading, I have no idea. But what it does for my mental health is really amazing. I feel more motivated to do stuff during the weekdays and even during the weekends. But that also means nicer weather to do more social activities which can be mentally and emotionally draining for me.
Hence why it’s taken me so long to post my wrap-up and book haul for March! I mean, it’s really become classic Nicole to post these things mid-way through the month, right? Haha. This also means I did not take a “wrap-up” photo for the month so this will be a little different, too. I promise to do better next month.
Will there ever be a time I stop saying “Better late than never”? Maybe…but today is not that day! 🙂
March was quite a surprise. I was on spring break, so I reread one of my favorite series. I also did a reread (re-listen via the audiobook?) of the first book in the Shatter Me series in prep for the release of Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi. I only recently started listening to Unravel Me so…my reread is going quite well… Haha. 😅
So far April isn’t looking bad either, but I’ve already DNFed a book, the first this year. I’ve got a bunch of eARCs to read, too, and I’m trying to focus on reading books from my own shelves instead of the library. Um, right.
Oh my goodness, guys. You know, it doesn’t seem like I’ve bought a lot of books in March, and I felt as if I’ve read even less, but wow, I put them all together and… Well… ^_^’
(I’m so happy I’ve remembered to write these posts! 😛 )
