I actually finished this book a few weeks ago, but I waited to post the review but I had a bunch of thoughts floating around in my head regarding it. The other day I finally wrote down my thoughts, though they still seem a bit jumbled. I hope the review still makes sense!
Continue readingHoly smokes! This was the absolute perfect read going into 2019! I did have some hesitation since I didn’t care much for Chokshi’s previous series (TSTQ was a 3.5 rating while ACOW sat at 3), but I went into The Gilded Wolves with an open mind. It’s historical fantasy set in freakin’ 1889 Paris of all places! Let me tell you, this book didn’t disappoint at all!

I kind of dig this “reporter” feeling when I gather some of the small book news that happened this week. I wouldn’t have made a blog post if it didn’t include the authors of two book series I’ve thoroughly enjoyed.

Well, I’m sad to say I did not enjoy this book as much as I did The Star-Touched Queen, which really disappoints me. The only thing that brought this book from a 2-star to a 3-star rating was the ending.

Omg, such a hard decision because there are so many good ones! But thankfully, I only have to focus on the first half. 😉
This is a mix of debut authors, sequels, and well-seasoned authors but all of them sound truly amazing! I can’t wait to get my hands on all of them, and thanks to my local library who has done a fantastic job getting newly released YA books, I won’t have to spend a fortune! ^_^ Continue reading
