Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? My anticipation for this book was raw and pure joy. I think I did a fine job for myself by pre-ordering it as a birthday gift, considering it released the day before my birthday, lol. The book gods and Pierce Brown have blessed me tenfold and more.

Review: “Empress of a Thousand Skies” by Rhoda Belleza
I’m not sure I can adequately form the right words to tell you how much I loved this book! I’m hitting myself because I waited so long to read it. This book came in FairyLoot’s February box, and darrrrrrnnnn, why did I not pick it up right then and there?
Oh well. Guess now I can fangirl about it. 😉
Review: “Cress” (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer
Look, it’s not that I don’t think this is a great series because it is. I don’t even think I can pick a favorite character, though I’m prone towards Thorne because it’s hilarious, and I think my favorite couple might just be Scarlet and Thorne because he’s dark and brooding but Cress and Thorne come in a close second because they’re just totes adorbs.
But I’m not as enamored with the series as I hoped to be. I don’t even know why! What’s wrong with me? I don’t know. There’s no excuse. That’s just how it is. #sorrynotsorry Or something like that…
ARC Review: “The Diabolic” by S.J. Kincaid
Ah, I feel so honored to be able to have an ARC! It’s described as The Hunger Games meets Red Queen, and OMG, how can you not?!
Thanks to Netgalley.com and Simon and Schuster Children’s Publishing for giving me a free digital copy in exchange for an honest review! I seriously loved it!
Review: “Morning Star” (Red Rising #3) by Pierce Brown
Ah, I can’t believe this series is over! It’s been a long and good ride. A series I wasn’t sure I would enjoy because of the genre but I ended up loving it and so glad I did read it. I’m excited that Brown is writing another series in the same world (Iron Gold is expected to release sometime next year).
I tried to do a spoiler-free review but I may have gotten carried away. No .gifs this time though! XD
Review: “Golden Son” (Red Rising #2) by Pierce Brown
After I finished listening to Red Rising, I reserved Golden Son right away and was so flippin’ excited to dive right back into the series.
I’m so glad I have the change to read such a great amount of books that have turned the tides for me in genres that I didn’t initially like. I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ve just read crappy books in that genre so I just decided then and there that I didn’t like it.
Case in point? This. Freakin’. Series. Curse you, Pierce Brown, and your writing skills. I don’t think I’ve talked to myself more or shouted randomly more than I have while listening to Golden Son. I’m just a hot mess.
Spoiler-free reviews below (may include a lot of gifs though). XD
