Top Ten Tuesday: Top 10 Books on My Fall TBR

If you know me at all, you know I’m horrible at TBRs. Mainly because I’m like, “Oh my god, look at all the fall releases. Must read them now!” and then proceed to request them all from my local library. 🤣  But the thing is, I have so many unread books on my shelves (but then again, what bookworm doesn’t?), and so a while back I made a TBR Jar, which is nothing more than a mason jar I filled with rolled slips of paper of all the unread books on my own shelves. Well, that’s been going semi-well.

Since I started it, I’ve actually managed to read books and get rid of the ones I don’t like (either by selling them or giving them away via my Twitter). That’s a miracle and of itself, I tell you, lol. 😛 So the books mentioned here aren’t necessarily ~fall~ themed but rather, just books I’m really need to read. Screw the TBR Jar, I suppose?!

How’s Your (August) TBR?

Normally, I am extremely prepared and ready to go when it comes to posting on my blog but this weekend, I was hit with PMS and seriously, I was down for the count! I was rather productive on Saturday morning but then it started so all I did was lay in bed (or the couch), read, edit my book a bit, and then I also ended up skipping church on Sunday to…lay in bed and read. ^_^’

So you’d think I would be going a great job, getting through my TBR for August. Alas, that is not the case. I skimmed through Netgalley a few weeks ago and “wished” for a book, was approved, and so I started reading it to end up not even finishing it (or liking it). That took up a few days. Then I have an author friend who wants me to take a look at the sequel to her first book but I need to read the 1st book, so I’ve been going back and forth with that and An Ember in the Ashes.

But I have some exciting news!

Non-bookish Post #4: That time I went camping…

A little over a month ago, I posted about summer vacation finally arrving. My plans included reading many books on my TBR (check!), go camping (check!), and finish the first draft of my book (check!).

Since I DNF a book earlier this week (read my review on Goodreads here), I don’t have a decent book review to post so a non-bookish post about my life is always a good substitute… I hope you don’t mind. 😉

July’s Book Haul, Books Read, & August’s TBR!

I don’t think I’ve done a book haul or a TBR in a while and I’m nearly positive I haven’t done a “books read” for a certain month. Since I haven’t finished my current read in time to post a review, I thought I’d just shake things up a bit. XD

I’m so proud of myself for reading the books on my shelf. It sounds silly but the library and all the new books that have come out over the past few months haven’t given me a chance to read the books I actually own! And I’m actually trying to read books on my shelf so I can sift through them and determine which ones are worth keeping and others…not.
