I don’t normally discuss books I dislike. Half the time I can’t even remember what they are because I just push them out of my mind (lol) to make room for other books. So truthfully, trying to even think of disappointing reads was a bit of a struggle, and thank Goodreads for helping me.

What a fun beginning to the new year! I can’t believe January is already over! I felt like it just started!
Anyway, this was a fun month for me. I celebrated my 29th birthday by buying books! Okay, well, I bought myself one book and the rest were bought with gift cards or were given to me as gifts! And I actually surprised myself by reading my normal average number of books. I doubt I’ll do so well the rest of the months due to personal issues and a general hiatus I plan on taking (more on that in a later post).
I really want to rate this book higher, but I can’t. Initially, I enjoyed it but soon, the plot became stagnant and the ending just threw me for a loop. Not that I didn’t like it. It was…interesting, to say the least, but I can only foresee a handful of problems with it.
October has some fantastic releases! I started filling up my calendar with book releases so I don’t forget. Goodreads comes in handy with its lists on monthly YA releases. I write down all the ones I’m interested/excited for and October is just ripe with them! I’ll just highly the first two weeks of October (including yesterday, since it was new release Tuesday. Hope you don’t mind that I cheat. 😉 ) and then do another post as a follow-up. 🙂
