Technically, today’s Top 5 Wednesday post is supposed to be about books that feature road trips, but to be honest, I can’t really think of a lot that fit the topic. Instead I decided to feature books that take place during summer vacation in general.

Today’s my last week of summer vacation. Next week I hit the ground running at work after 4 weeks off! I figured it’s a good way to reminisce about my own time off. šŸ™‚

T5W: Best Books I’ve Read (So Far) in 2018

Gosh, this means we’re actually half-way through 2018! How is that possible? I can believe it though, because it’s always 100+ degrees outside where I live. So yes, summer is NIGH and won’t disappear any time soon.Ā šŸ˜¬

To determine the best books I’ve read so far, I chose the books I rated 5 stars on Goodreads. I was going to go with 4.5 or higher, but I have more than 5 of those! But at 5 stars, there areĀ exactly 5. Haha. The book gods are in my favor!

Here’s the truth: I don’t actually discuss a lot about the books I disliked. They become a distant memory in my mind. Mainly because I didn’t like them!Ā šŸ¤­Ā But if someone were to ask me why I didn’t like a particular book, I don’t mind saying why. That’s discussing, right?

T5W: Books I’ve Read Because of #bookstagram

I’ve always been an avid reader, but I wasn’t much of a collector. That is, until I joined the lovely community of readers on Instagram (also commonly referred to as #bookstagram and #bookstagrammers). I joined over 2 years ago, and wow, it’s been a great way to connect with other readers and to see how seriously talented photographers fellow bibliophiles are!

Anyway, I thought this was a fun topic because there areĀ so many books I’ve picked up since I’ve seen them on Instagram–definitely some I would have never bothered to read otherwise!
