So…I thought I did one of these for April, but I was quite wrong. LOL Anyway, instead of making these weekly, I figured a monthly post was better. 🙂 I know it’s not quite May yet but next week, it’ll already be the 2nd!
I’m a little on the fence about this one, to be quite honest. On the one hand, the cover is stunning but on the other… I’m not a collector of novellas. Bloomsbury has been sharing looks of the finished copy and it just’s so small. Yes, self, I do know this is a novella and caps at maybe 250 pages but… Maybe I’ll wait to get this in paperback? Maybe I’ll check it out from the library first. After reading ACoWaR, I have concerns and questions about Nesta and Elain.
We’ll see if ACoFaS can deliver all of my answers! 😛
I fell in love with Dumplin’ so when I heard there was going to be a companion novel–not a sequel–I was definitely curious! This novel follows two supporting characters from the first book, and I’m just ready for all the quips and Julie’s lovely writing! Better yet, Julie is heading out on the Epic Reads Spring Tour along with Becky Albertalli and Katie Cotugno and they’ll be near me! If you love goodies, check out Julie’s Twitter thread on the goods!
And of course, there’s no question I’m excited for The Way You Make Me Feel! I just finished reading an eARC, and my review as part of the book blog tour will be up tomorrow! Keep an eye out for it, as you can enter for a chance to win a hardcover copy! If you pre-ordered this book, you can submit your receipt here for some goodies. (Just look at that gorgeous enamel pin!)
May 15 & May 22:
The final book of the Red Queen series releases on May 15! Victoria is also touring not too far from me, so I hope to see her once again and get this book signed!
I fell in love with When Dimple Met Rishi so I’m just so excited to read more from Menon! The cover for FTWL is so lovely, too, which just makes me all the more excited! There’s still time to submit your pre-order receipt for some goodies! You can do that here.
Last but not least… May 29:
Although Caraval is not one of my favorite books, I still enjoyed it. I struggled liking Scarlett, but I loved Tella! And just the twist at the end of Caraval made me eager for Legendary! I pre-ordered this one, and I still think there’s time to submit your pre-order receipt for a custom set of playing cards!
What books are you excited for next month? Tell me! Who knows! I might already have them on my TBR, haha!
