I’m so happy I got this box. I haven’t been a subscriber to OwlCrate since I was disappointed in their July 2017 box, which was actually the last time I got a book subscription box. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about this box, though the theme sounded perfect! I’m thrilled to report OwlCrate’s April box was absolutely amazing!
And now that it’s May (*insert Justin Timberlake meme here*), I can show you all of the contents! Usually I wait a few more days just in case some people still haven’t received their box but… I can’t help myself! 🤪
I always like to stay surprised, so I never turn the spoiler card over. 😛
First off, we have dark chocolate and sea salt-flavored coffee by Bones Coffee Company. I’m more of a coffee drinker than a (hot) tea drinker, so I was happy to find this in the box. 🙂
We also have a gorgeous sticker illustrated by Jamila Mehio with a quote from The Young Elites series by Marie Lu, featuring Adelina Amouteru. I definitely enjoyed this series. If you love anti-hero(ines), you’ll like that series.
OwlCrate was so generous and included a excerpt booklet of Legendary, the second and final book in the Caraval series. I’m excited for this book! I have it pre-ordered already, and I have an eARC sitting on my Kindle. 🙂 While I enjoyed Caraval, I hope to enjoy this book even more. I found Tella to be such a fascinating character, so I can’t wait to get into her head.
There’s also some wild berry-scented Shadowhunter soap made by Three Sisters Apothecary by Soap Cauldron. It smells delicious–I want to eat it! But I’m also prepared to use it on my body, haha.
Below that we have a set of Harry Potter pencils from Jubilee Designs, each with a different saying.
Look at this gorgeous pillowcase! The quote is from Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. This picture really doesn’t do the pillowcase itself justice because it’s beautiful in person. Unfortunately, I have no where to even put this. (Okay, Nicole, why don’t you put it on your bed? It doesn’t match, I tell you!) So I gave it to my best friend whose also a fan of the series. She loved it. 🙂
Now to the book with its exclusive cover:
I quite like this cover! Truthfully, I haven’t been a big fan of a lot of exclusive editions of OC, but this one… I like! This is the second book of Foody’s I own, but I haven’t even read her debut, Daughter of the Burning City. Both sound great, so I promise I’ll get to them… 😅 I didn’t take a picture, but the book is signed as well!
It also came with these cute postcards:
How cool are these!? The last one (on the right) is a map, too!
OwlCrate already announced their May theme (Fight Like a Girl), but here’s the amazing theme announcement card:
It reminds me a bit of Sailor Moon! Unfortunately, I’m not subscribing to that box. April was a wild month for me in terms of money, and my wallet isn’t very pleased so… I need to give my wallet a well-deserved break. But if you’re interested in getting this box, click here to subscribe. (This is my personal link, so please use it to subscribe if you haven’t already! 🙂 )
